RTM refers to Resin Transfer Molding, which is one of the key technologies to conquer the high-cost issues of advanced composites. The basic process of RTM technology: Put pre-form of rational design and production into a well-designed mold, and inject required resin into the closed mold. When reinforced materials are thoroughly wet by resin, curing for prototyping and then get the product after demolding. The processed products feature stable size, high precision, and two smooth surfaces. After demolding, it costs much less effort to post-processing and features a high utilization ratio of raw materials. Fiber volume fraction can reach 55% to 60%, with no need for prepregs or entry to the autoclave and also the cost is low.
